Should You Get A Website?

If you have reached this blog post, you most likely have considered purchasing or building a website for yourself or your business; but are unsure where to start or if it is even worth it. I am here to say it is worth it.

But here’s why.

Whether you are a small business owner, a freelance worker, an artist, or anything requiring you to sell a product or a service, you will need some online presence. If you are a small business owner, you may be looking for a way for customers to look at products, menus, pictures of your establishment, store hours, or contact information. You will need a website. If you are an artist looking for a way to get your portfolio to producers, galleries, or more but want more than your Instagram feed. You will need a website.

Now depending on the work you do, there are different types of websites you can have.

A landing page works similar to a linktree you would place in your social media bio; it gives you a clear spot in the online world and shows your customers that you are serious and dependable about your work. This type of page will consist of contact information, a few pictures, a summary of your work, and links to your other socials.

2.) Website- Blog

A website made for a blog will contain a homepage, an about page, a blog, and a contact page. The main purpose of this website is to showcase your writing while allowing readers to learn more about you, what your blog is about, and how to contact you. It is one of the best options out there to really show the woeld who you and or your business is.

3.) E-Commerce Wesbite

An e-commerce website’s purpose is for you to sell a product or service online. This type is great for small to large businesses and can be a great source of income from selling products like clothes to services like massages. Some examples include esty, Amazon, and Alibaba, but it can also be much smaller websites like boutique clothing stores, music shops, or makeup, just to name a few.

There are many more types of websites out there however, those are the main ones to start looking at when you are trying to decide what you need. If you have any question about what is the best choice feel free to send me a message via contact link or set up a free consultation.
